Unlicensed Teen Driver Causes Major Injury Crash near Soquel Avenue
SANTA CRUZ, CA (March 15, 2019) – An unlicensed teen driver caused a multi-car crash on La Fonda Avenue, late Friday morning.
As per reports, the incident happened near Soquel Avenue, at about 11:00 AM. Due to unknown circumstances, a 2-seater Nissan 350Z Roadster lost control and veered to the left side of the street. Then, it slammed into a parked minivan and sideswiped a parked truck before crashing into a van across the roadway.
An air ambulance transported one Harbor High School student to a Bay Area trauma center with major injuries. Meanwhile, three others, including the 17-year-old driver, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
