Five Vehicles Involved in Collision on California Avenue

HEMET, CA (September 13, 2018) – Four people were injured Thursday morning in a multiple-car crash on Highway 79 near California Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place about 7:25 AM at the intersection of the 79 freeway and California. Crews recovered at least five vehicles at the scene of the incident. The events leading up to the pile-up crash are unclear at this time.

Emergency paramedics responded to the scene and recorded multiple injuries sustained by the involved motorists. Three people suffered minor injuries, while one person sustained major injuries. There is no update on either person’s current medical condition.

Crews conducted clearing operations to prevent further disruption in the flow of traffic in the area. No further details have been disclosed to the public, as an investigation is ongoing.
