4 Hospitalized after Three-Car Collision on Highway 115 near Evan Hewes Highway
HOLTVILLE, CA (October 13, 2019) – Four people suffered injuries in a three-car collision on Highway 115, Sunday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 7:00 PM. A Ford-150 truck attempted to turn north on Highway 115. There, it collided with a Subaru Forester. The impact of the collision sent the Subaru spinning before hitting a 2010 Toyota Rav4.
The Ford truck had five passengers, including a baby. Emergency responders transported the 51-year-old driver and his two adult passengers to El Centro Regional Medical Center.
Meanwhile, an ambulance rushed a female Subaru passenger to UCSD Medical Center in San Diego with severe injuries. Authorities did not disclose the age and identity of the woman, but records identify her as a resident from Imperial.
The CHP continues to investigate the cause of the collision. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
