Four Injured in Fatal Head-On Crash on State Route 347 [Maricopa, AZ]

Maricopa, AZ (January 29, 2022) – On Thursday, four people sustained injuries in a fatal head-on crash on State Route 347.

The collision took place at 5:04 p.m. near the intersection with Casa Blanca Road.

Officers said a southbound driver crossed the center median and drove into the northbound lanes. 

As a result, the wrong-way vehicle crashed with a northbound vehicle and burst into flames.

Unfortunately, the driver died at the scene.

Moreover, the vehicle that was struck by the wrong-way driver has four occupants when the accident happened.

Emergency rescuers took them to a hospital with non-fatal injuries.

Officers are investigating this fatal head-on crash on State Route 347.
