Four Sustained Injuries after Sacramento Two-Car Crash on San Carlos Way
SACRAMENTO, CA (September 5, 2019) – Four people sustained injuries after a two-car crash on San Carlos Way on Wednesday, September 4.
At around 2:47 a.m., fire personnel rushed to the area of San Carlos Way and 14th Avenue. Two vehicles ended up both crashing into a private home in the area, Sacramento Fire Department spokesman Capt. Keith Wade stated.
According to Wade, paramedics brought four occupants of the two vehicles to local hospitals with moderate injuries. There were no reports of life-threatening injuries.
No one inside the home was hurt, Wade said.
Surveillance video at the scene shows a dark-colored car moving at a high rate of speed on San Carlos Way toward 14th Avenue. Then the vehicle runs the stop sign at the intersection. After that, it broadsided a light-colored SUV moving on 14th Avenue.
Both vehicles then careened into the front lawn of a residence on the corner of the intersection. The crash caused damage to the front entryway of the residence, video shows.
The incident is still under investigation, police said.
