Fire Truck Overturns in Solo-Vehicle Crash Near Road 240
DUCOR, CA (September 4, 2019) – Four Cal Fire firefighters suffered injuries in a fire truck crash on Avenue 56 on Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Road 240 at approximately 8:30 AM. Based on the report, the victims headed back to the San Diego area following an assignment helping with a wildfire in Tulare County when their fire engine crashed and overturned.
Officials transferred four injured firefighters to a hospital in stable condition. As of mid-afternoon, officials released three of the victims from medical care, while the fourth is expected to remain hospitalized overnight with injuries of unspecified severity.
The cause of the accident is unknown at this time. It still currently remains under investigation at this time.
