FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA – Fatal Vehicle Collision on the 405 Freeway

At Least One Person Fatally Injured in Fountain Valley Crash on Brookhurst Street

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (May 4, 2018) – At least one person lost their life in a fatal vehicle collision on the 405 Freeway, early Friday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 1:15 AM at Brookhurst Street. It is still unknown how many vehicles were involved in the accident, but it was reported that a Mercedes ended up overturned in an embankment on the right side of the highway.

Debris was scattered across several lanes of the freeway, from the impact of the collision. Lanes No. 2, 3, and 4, and on-ramps in the area of the collision were shut down for investigation and clean up. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available, pending notification of family.

No other information is available at this time as CHP continues to investigate the fatal crash.
