FONTANA, CA – Pedestrian Killed by Vehicle on Hemlock Avenue

Fatal Pedestrian Collision on Hemlock and Merrill Avenue

 
FONTANA, CA (March 11, 2019) – Monday afternoon, an unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Hemlock Avenue.
 
The fatal accident happened around 12:55 p.m., on Merrill Avenue. The involved vehicle has not been identified, and details of how the crash transpired have not been released.
 
However, reports indicate that the pedestrian was rushed to Loma Linda University Medical Center, upon medics arrival. The victim eventually succumbed to their injuries, and was later pronounced dead.
 
Authorities shut down both east and westbound lanes of the roadway following the collision. The surrounding lanes were blocked off as crews worked to cleanup and finalize preliminary duties, but have since reopened.
 
No further information has been provided to the public at this time. It’s also currently unknown if charges has been filed, and if liability has been determined.
