Flyn Nichol Detained in Petaluma Multi-Car Accident
PETALUMA, CA (May 22, 2019) – Authorities arrested a 35-year-old Petaluma male resident after a hit-and-run collision on Petaluma Boulevard.
Authorities came around 4:00 p.m. on May 19. The accident happened on Petaluma Boulevard at the southbound Highway 101 on-ramp.
Flyn Austin Nichol in his gold Nissan Sentra hit two other vehicles that had just been in their own collision.
Troopers revealed that Nichol “acted erratically” when contacted by the other drivers. He then escaped in the Nissan to nearby Skillman Lane.
He then went out of the car and escaped on foot. However, authorities apprehended Nichol about two blocks from where he had left his vehicle.
Nichol resisted arrest. As a result, police bounded him in a “wrap” restraint to keep him from fighting with officers.
Meanwhile, the driver of one of the other vehicles went to the hospital with injuries.
Police arrested Nichol on suspicion of felony hit-and-run. In addition, he was charged for resisting arrest and driving under the influence of drugs. The booked him into Sonoma County Jail.
