PACOIMA, CA (November 20, 2019) – A homeless woman was struck and killed by an overturned van Wednesday morning, in Pacoima.
The coroner’s office later identified the deceased woman as 49-year-old Flor de Maria Lopez Carcamo. The female victim was struck and killed on November 20, when the van rolled over onto the side of the on-ramp at San Fernando Road.
According to authorities, the driver of the van was getting on the freeway when he lost control on rain-slicked roads. As the driver over-corrected, the van spun out and rolled over the side and landed into a homeless encampment.
