Fleeing Assault Suspect Arrested in 91 Freeway After a High-speed Chase
Los Angeles, CA (April 22, 2020)– Wednesday afternoon, an assault suspect was arrested in 91 Freeway after a high-speed chase. The fleeing driver hit two other vehicles while on the run.
Reportedly, an assault suspect led police to a high-speed chase started at around 3 p.m near downtown Los Anges, over the 110 Freeway and ended onto the eastbound 91.
Furthermore, the fleeing suspect crashed into one vehicle near Central Avenue. Then he later crashed into another pickup truck. As a result, by the time the chase ended, his car had sustained massive damage.
However, the standoff continued an hour as the suspect refused to surrender, blocking both directions near Cherry Avenue in the North Long Beach area.
Finally, after long-hour negotiation, officers moved in, swarmed the shirtless suspect, and took him into custody. However, the authorities didn’t disclose the suspect’s identity.
