Two Vehicles Involved in Fatal Collision near 4th Avenue
SEATTLE, WA (October 1, 2018) – On Monday, a flagger at a construction site was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Mercer Street. The deceased victim’s identity and place of residence were not immediately released, pending notification of family members.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision took place at the intersection of Mercer and 4th Avenue. Seattle Police stated that the victim was hit by a black Chevy Impala, that fled the scene after the collision. The driver was described to be a woman in her 20’s, and possibly had a dog with her.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the whereabouts of the hit-and-run driver and the suspect vehicle involved.
