Five Injured in Head-On Crash on Highway 118 [Moorpark, CA]

Moorpark, CA (April 22, 2022) – On Thursday evening, people sustained injuries in a head-on crash on Highway 118.

Officers received the crash report minutes past 5 near Balcom Canyon Road.

Responding officers freed one person from being trapped in a vehicle.

A Ventura County helicopter airlifted a mother and her female child to Los Robles Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. Officers say the child was possibly a baby.

Then, the paramedics took the third victim by ambulance to Los Robles Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.

Also, the rescuers took two more patients with less serious injuries to Adventist Health Simi Valley Hospital.

The authorities said a Ford Expedition SUV and a Mazda sedan incurred major front-end damage.

Meanwhile, officers are investigating this traffic collision.
