Police says that the fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision in the 2800 block of 1st Street at around 5:55 a.m.

Authorities say that a vehicle fatally struck a female pedestrian. Officials found the woman in the roadway, paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and did not show signs of impairment.
