Road 36 Collision Injures Two
Madera County, CA (February 01, 2022) – On Monday, two firefighters sustained injuries in a DUI crash on Road 36.
The collision took place minutes before 10 a.m. at the intersection with Avenue 13.
Officers said a car missed a stop sign and struck a fire truck’s passenger side and it to overturned.
Moreover, the authorities said they were searching for that vehicle earlier in the day.
“This vehicle matches the description of a ‘be on the lookout for’ a BOLO vehicle we’re looking for, and the sheriff’s department was also looking for in the area,” said CHP Sgt. Lincoln McKenna
One of the two firefighters sustained a dislocated shoulder and the other complained of pain.
On the other hand, the rescuers airlifted the car driver to the hospital. Police said he was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash.
Reports said the parties were driving the speed limit at the time of the accident.
