Distracted Driving Suspected in T-Bone Crash on 99th Avenue SE
LAKE STEVENS, WA (September 21, 2019) – Several firefighters were hospitalized after a T-bone crash on 99th Avenue SE, Saturday morning.
According to the Lake Stevens Police Department, a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign near Chapel Hill Road. There, it struck a medical unit at a four-way stop.
Emergency responders rushed at least three firefighters to a local hospital as a precaution. Updates on their current conditions remain unknown. Meanwhile, the driver of the other vehicle remained and cooperated with investigators.
Authorities believe that distracted driving played a factor in the collision. Investigators will release additional information once it becomes available.
