Injuries Reported in Tyler Pedestrian Accident on FM 850
TYLER, TX (July 24, 2024) – Sunday night, a firefighter suffered injuries in a startling pedestrian crash on FM 850.
The incident happened just after 8:30 p.m. on FM 850 as firefighters responded to a wreck.
Then, a vehicle hit a firefighter and fled the scene.
Authorities are actively seeking the driver and are requesting that anyone with information come forward.
The injured firefighter received treatment at the hospital and has been discharged to recover.
Reports said this is the second incident this month involving one of their firefighters being struck. They urge drivers to remain attentive and comply with traffic cones when emergency services are on the scene.
