According to the Austin Police Department (APD), the solo-vehicle crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on I-35 near Slaughter Lane.
Reports say that a vehicle drove into a construction site and collided with a pillar, officials say that the vehicle burst into flames after the crash.
Authorities say that 2 adults were pronounced dead at the scene.
The fatal crash closed the northbound lanes on I-35.
