Fiery Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35 Kills 2 People [Austin, TX]

2 People Killed in Tragic Solo-Vehicle Crash Near Slaughter Lane

Austin, TX (August 12, 2024) On Sunday morning, a fiery vehicle crash on Interstate 35 left 2 adults dead at the scene.

According to the Austin Police Department (APD), the solo-vehicle crash happened around 8:30 a.m. on I-35 near Slaughter Lane.

Reports say that a vehicle drove into a construction site and collided with a pillar, officials say that the vehicle burst into flames after the crash.

Authorities say that 2 adults were pronounced dead at the scene.

The fatal crash closed the northbound lanes on I-35.

Authorities are investigating the fiery crash and have not released further details at this time.
