Fiery Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 Kills 3 [Ukiah, CA]

Ukiah, CA (April 5, 2023) On Tuesday morning, a fiery vehicle crash on Highway 101 left at least 3 people dead.

CHP says that the solo-vehicle crash happened around 6:12 a.m. along the northbound lanes of Highway 101 near Calpella.

Reports say that a vehicle drove off an embankment and caught fire approximately one mile north of the Lake Mendocino exit.

Firefighters responded to the scene and extinguished the flames at around 6:30 a.m. Officials say that 3 people were pronounced dead at the scene.

CHP is investigating the solo-vehicle tragedy and have not released further details at this time.
