1 Person Dead in Goleta Auto Accident on Highway 101 near Dos Pueblos Canyon Road

GOLETA, CA (April 21, 2024) – Friday night, a fiery vehicle crash on Highway 101 near Dos Pueblos Canyon Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 2:00 p.m. on Highway 101 near Dos Pueblos Canyon Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a northbound Tacoma pickup truck that was traveling in the southbound lanes collided with a semi. Then, the pickup truck erupted into flames after the collision.

Moreover, responders pronounced the driver of the pickup, dead at the scene. Also, authorities confirmed that the male driver of the semi sustained minor injuries, but refused further treatment.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
