2 People Hospitalized in San Patricio County Auto Accident on State Highway 188 and Interstate 37

SAN PATRICIO COUNTY, TX (July 7, 2024) – Thursday night, a fiery traffic crash on State Highway 188 and Interstate 37 injured two people.

The incident happened at around 11:00 p.m. on State Highway 188 and Interstate 37.

According to the San Patricio County Sheriff’s Office, an 18-wheeler crashed on State Highway 188 and crashed down onto Interstate 37 below. Also, the 18-wheeler struck three other vehicles on Interstate 37, including one that erupted into flames after the collision.

Moreover, responders transported two people to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Texas Department of Public Safety continued investigating the crash.
