Phelan, CA (July 3, 2024) On Monday evening, 2 women were hurt after a fiery traffic crash on Phelan Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the 2-vehicle collision happened around 9:49 p.m. east of the intersection of Phelan Road and Smith Road.

Reports say that the crash involved a white Ford F250 and a white Ford utility truck, driven by 2 female drivers.

Officials say that one of the pickup trucks burst into flames while an occupant was still inside the vehicle. The driver was unconscious and was trapped inside the vehicle.

Authorities say that a good Samaritan helped rescue the female driver. San Bernardino County Fire responded to the scene and requested 2 helicopters to airlift both patients.
