Tragic SUV-Big Rig Collision on Highway 6 Left SUV Driver Dead
Shackleford, TX (February 23, 2024) On Wednesday afternoon, a horrific traffic crash on Highway 6 left a male driver dead.
According to the Shackleford County Sheriff’s Department (SCSD), the fatal wreck involved an SUV and a semi-truck, it happened at about 4 p.m. between Albany and Moran.
Reports say that an SUV collided with a semi that was hauling rocks, immediately the SUV burst into flames after the crash, and the flames started a grass fire along Highway 6.
Authorities pronounced the male SUV driver dead at the scene, while the big rig driver escaped injuries.
SCSD officials are investigating the fiery traffic crash and have not provided additional information at this time.
