1 Dead in Woodland Three-Car Crash on College Street and Court Street
WOODLAND, CA (April 9, 2023) – Saturday, a fiery multi-vehicle wreck on College Street and Court Street killed 1 person.
The incident involving at least three vehicles happened on College Street and Court Street.
According to reports, a 13-year-old driving a stolen car crashed in Woodland, said the Woodland Police Department.
After the crash, the vehicle caught fire. Meanwhile, responders transported nearly a dozen others — three of which were children — to the hospital in various conditions.
Reports said that the incident transpired after a car was seen by an officer “driving erratically.”
As the officer tried to pull over the 13-year-old driver, they veered off northbound on College Street. Then, they struck two other cars.
Officers confirmed that a woman died in the crash. Also, they advised motorists to avoid the area and look for alternative routes.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
