SAN DIEGO, CA (July 26, 2023) – Monday morning, a fiery multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 injured one person.

The incident happened at around 11:44 a.m. on northbound Interstate 5.

According to reports, a white van rear-ended a Ford Ranger for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash pushed the Ford to strike a third vehicle. Also, the third vehicle erupted into flames after the collision.

Moreover, responders transported a male occupant of the Ford to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, the crash closed northbound Interstate 5 but has long since reopened.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
