3 Hurt in Santa Ana Car Accident on First Street

 
SANTA ANA, CA (June 28, 2020) – Saturday night, three people required hospitalization and one unborn baby died after a two-car crash on First Street.
 
According to the Santa Ana Police Department, a speeding westbound car hit another eastbound car on First Street. Reports revealed that the eastbound car was turning left onto Lacy Street at around 9:46 p.m. when the crash occurred.
 
Afterward, the speeding car’s driver fled the scene on foot, before the police arrived. Moreover, the police didn’t provide any descriptions for the vehicle and the suspect driver.
 
Upon the arrival of the responders, they took three people to an area hospital.
 
“One of the injured passengers, who was eight months pregnant, underwent emergency surgery,” reports from the authorities said. “During the surgery, the fetus was pronounced dead as a result of the collision.”
 
The conditions of the other two patients remain unknown.

Meanwhile, the detectives are still trying to look into the possibility of alcohol as a factor in the crash. However, they already confirmed that speed played a role in the incident.
