Phoenix, AZ (November 22, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, 34-year-old Fernando Castrellon died in a crash on 27th Avenue and Van Buren Street.
At approximately 5:30 a.m., officers responded to a crash involving a male pedestrian and a car at the intersection of 27th Avenue and Van Buren Street.
According to Phoenix police, the man was hit by a car while walking across 27th Avenue outside the crosswalks. Despite being taken to the hospital, he was later pronounced dead.
Officials stated that the driver of the car remained at the scene.
