Thomas Yearnshaw Suffers Injuries in Collision West of State Route 88

El Dorado County, CA (June 30, 2022) – On June 18, Fernando Alanis-Jimenez, 35, died, while Thomas Yearnshaw, 76, of Carson City, NV, sustained injuries in an accident on Mormon Emigrant Trail.

The authorities responded to the crash scene before 4:56 p.m. west of State Route 88 and east of Alder Creek Road.

According to the authorities, Alanis-Jimenez was a passenger in a pickup that stopped on the north shoulder of Mormon Emigrant Trail.

He got out of the truck when a 2006 Toyota 4-Runner SUV driven by Yearnshaw crashed into him and the truck he was riding in.

Officers say Yearnshaw’s vehicle crossed over the double-yellow lines and collided with Alanis-Jimenez and the truck.
