1 Hurt in Pedestrian Accident
SEATTLE, WA (January 21, 2019) — A female pedestrian sustained critical injuries after being hit by a car on January 17.
The incident happened on Martin Luther King Jr Way South and South Henderson Street about 6:15 p.m., Seattle Police revealed.
Although few details have been released at this time, investigators revealed that the 39-year-old woman was hit by a van that fled from the scene.
The victim sustained suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center.
Officers quickly looked in the area and found the van a few blocks away. Police detained the van driver for suspicion of DUI. A passenger of the van was also in custody for unrelated warrants.
