Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Interstate 8 in San Diego

San Diego, CA (September 22, 2022) – Early Thursday morning, a woman died in a crash on Interstate 8.

The fatal crash in San Diego happened at around 12:26 a.m. on September 22.

CHP said a woman was walking on the traffic lanes of eastbound Interstate 8, east of Presidio Park when she was hit by a 24-year-old man driving a Subaru sedan.

The woman sustained fatal injuries. 

The driver remained at the scene, treated for minor injuries, and cooperated with the officers.

Investigators did not suspect drugs or alcohol as factors at the time of the crash.

No other information is immediately available.
