Police Search for 2 Drivers after Hit-And-Run Crash on Stockdale Highway in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, CA (November 5, 2022) – Friday night, a female pedestrian died in a hit-and-run crash on Stockdale Highway. 

The fatal hit-and-run crash in Bakersfield happened at around 10:30 p.m. on November 4.

Bakersfield Police responded to a reported accident at the 5100 block of Stockdale Highway and found a woman down on the road.

The victim died at the crash scene.

Reportedly, the woman crossed the westbound lanes of Stockdale Highway outside a crosswalk when she was struck first by a silver sedan. 

Shortly after, a second vehicle, described as a black Chevy or GMC truck, struck the woman when she was in the road and also fled the scene.

Investigators said the sedan may be a Honda with a rear spoiler that fled the scene.
