Female Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Mission Boulevard [Riverside, CA]

Police Search for Hit-and-Run Driver after Deadly Pedestrian Collision near Jurupa Road

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (August 25, 2018) – A female pedestrian was killed Saturday morning in a hit-and-run crash on Mission Boulevard. The victim’s name was not immediately released by the authorities, pending notification of family members.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place around 4:48 AM, near Jurupa Road. The woman was reportedly crossing the street when she was struck by an unidentified vehicle.
 
The driver of the vehicle fled from the scene right after the incident, leaving the injured woman in the road. Officials from the Jurupa Valley Police Station and other emergency personnel declared the victim dead at the scene.
 
An investigation is ongoing to identify and locate the driver. There is currently no description of the hit-and-run driver or the vehicle involved.
