1 Hospitalized after Rancho Cucamonga Car Accident
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA (April 26, 2019) – A female passenger suffered injuries in a car accident in the 8100 block of Etiwanda Avenue on April 19.
Authorities responded to the two-car collision around 12:22 p.m. First responders arrived to the area soon after after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
Reports indicate that a burgundy Nissan Altima and a gray Audi R8 were involved. Firefighters administered the Jaws of Life to free the injured person from the Nissan.
Authorities also revealed that a large delivery truck heading south on Etiwanda tried to turn right into the shopping center. At the same time, the Audi driver went off the parking lot to turn right onto Etiwanda.
The Audi driver didn’t see the southbound Altima in the No. 1 lane, next to the delivery truck. Due to this, the Audi broadsided the Altima. The Altima spun before stopping on the sidewalk.
Meanwhile, the Altima’s female passenger received treatment from the scene. However, medical responders still took her to a local hospital after suffering moderate injuries.
The collision is still currently under investigation of the Rancho Cucamonga P.D.
