Female Driver Killed, Male Motorist Injured in Car Crash on Highway 85 in Sunnyvale
Sunnyvale, CA (September 18, 2020) – On Wednesday, a woman was killed in a car collision on Highway 85 when she lost control of her vehicle.
The California Highway Patrol says that the crash happened at about 8:50 a.m. on a freeway ramp in Sunnyvale.
Moreover, police say the female driver is on a 2003 Lexus on the ramp coming from the North on Highway 85 towards south on the Interstate 280.
Furthermore, reports say, she lost control of her vehicle and went off the left edge of the road, then drove over the dirt gore point and hit a 2015 Lexus.
Subsequently, both vehicles hit the guard rail on the connector from southbound 85 to southbound 280.
Unfortunately, the 45-year-old woman died at the scene due to the crash. Meanwhile, the 37-year-old male driver from East Palo Alto sustained minor injuries.
Finally, authorities have not released any information regarding the deceased.
