Female Driver Hurt in Crash on 8th Street [Los Angeles, CA]

Los Angeles, CA (August 20, 2021) On Wednesday, August 18, a woman suffered injuries in a 2-vehicle crash on 8th Street and Figueroa Street.

The Los Angeles Police Department says they received multiple reports of both shots fired and a vehicle crash.

LAPD says that the incident happened around 11:45 p.m.

LAPD’s Central Division responded to the incident and found 2 vehicles collided.

Authorities say that one of the occupants of the car claimed that another car was chasing his car and fired shots.

Moreover, as he drives his black sedan away he collided with a silver sedan going west.

A female driving the silver sedan incurred injuries and paramedics took her to the nearest hospital. Her conditions are unknown.

Meanwhile, her 12-year-old passenger did not sustain injuries.

Authorities confirm that bullet casings were found a block away at the scene of the crash.
