Female Driver Dies in Head-On Crash on Amargosa Road [Hesperia, CA]

Amargosa Road Deadly Crash Kills 19-Year-Old Female Driver

 
Hesperia, CA (April 03, 2021) – On Thursday, a 19-year-old female driver lost her life in a deadly head-on crash on Amargosa Road.
 
The fatal crash took place at 6:45 p.m. between Palmetto Way and the California Aqueduct.
 
Reports said a northbound red 2005 Mazda 6 and a southbound gray 2012 Ford Focus were on Amargosa Road.
 
Officers determined that the Mazda driver lost control of her vehicle and crossed over into oncoming traffic.
 
As a result, the Mazda crashed with Ford Focus.
 
Immediately, rescuers provided life-saving measures. However, authorities pronounced the 19-year-old female driver, who is also the sole occupant of the vehicle, dead on the scene.
 
Moreover, the Ford Focus was occupied by the driver and two passengers, including a juvenile.
 
Right away, responders took the adult female passenger to an area hospital for treatment of injuries.
 
Later on, officers closed Amargosa Road from Palmetto Way and Key Pointe Avenue for several hours while deputies investigated on the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office withheld the deceased’s identity pending the notification of next of kin.
