Bicyclist Hospitalized after Car Crash on Bayou Way in Sacramento

Sacramento, CA (January 19, 2023) – Thursday evening, a female bicyclist sustained critical injuries in a crash on Bayou Way.

The crash in Sacramento happened around 6:20 p.m. on January 19 near the intersection of Bayou Way and Power Line Road, next to the Sacramento International Airport.

Sacramento Police said the bicyclist turned in front of the oncoming vehicle, and the vehicle was unable to avoid the collision.

EMS rushed the bicyclist to a local trauma center in critical condition. 

Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
