Feliciano Lopez Vasquez of Mount Vernon Injured in Vehicle Crash on State Route 26 [Royal City, WA]

Royal City, WA (September 9, 2024) – Feliciano Lopez Vasquez, 69, and Bernadino Rojas Palacios, 56, both of Mount Vernon, were injured in a vehicle crash on State Route 26 early Saturday morning.

It was about 12:24 a.m. when the multi-vehicle crash happened around eight miles east of Royal City.

Troopers said a westbound vehicle driven by 34-year-old Jermain Ramos Vasquez crossed into oncoming traffic and struck an eastbound vehicle head-on. 

As a result, the eastbound vehicle also collided with a another westbound vehicle. 

Feliciano Lopez Vasquez and Bernadino Rojas Palacios were transported to Othello Community Hospital. 

Enrique Rodriguez, the driver of the third vehicle, was transported to Samaritan Hospital.

Meanwhile, Ramos Vasquez, was airlifted to Kadlec Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. Troopers said he was intoxicated during the collision and is facing charges of vehicular assault.

The involved vehicles, a 2002 Saturn, a 2011 Nissan Frontier, and a 1994 GMC Sierra, were totaled.

WSP is investigating the collision and urges drivers to remain vigilant and avoid impaired driving.
