Father and Son Struck and Injured, Edward Cox Arrested in Alameda Del Prado Crash

 
Novato, CA (April 23, 2021) – On Wednesday, a 27-year-old father and his 4-year-old son were injured, while police arrested 75-year-old Edward Cox of Novato in a DUI pedestrian crash on Alameda Del Prado.
 
Moreover, officers responded to the DUI accident scene at around 8:30 p.m. near Posada Del Sol.
 
When they arrived, they located the two pedestrians, struck by a driver, in a crosswalk by a southbound sedan on Alameda Del Prado.
 
Right away, rescuers took the father to Marin General Hospital for non-fatal major injuries.
 
Responders also took his son to Marin General, but later airlifted him to a children’s hospital in Oakland for fatal injuries.
 
As of Thursday, the child has been in critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, police arrested and booked Cox, the DUI driver, into the Marin County Jail on suspicion of felony DUI. It was not immediately determined when he would appear in court.
