1 Person Dead in Mare Island Auto Accident on State Highway 37 near San Pablo Bay

MARE ISLAND, CA (March 11, 2024) – Saturday morning, a fatal wrong-way crash on State Highway 37 near San Pablo Bay killed one person.

The incident happened at around 2:26 a.m. on State Highway 37 near San Pablo Bay.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a westbound blue Chrysler PT Cruiser that was traveling in the eastbound lane collided head-on with a gold Nissan.

Moreover, the driver of the wrong-way vehicle died in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
