1 Person Dead in Palo Alto Auto Accident on Embarcadero Road and Newell Road

PALO ALTO, CA (February 22, 2024) – Tuesday night, a fatal vehicle crash on Embarcadero Road and Newell Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 9:00 p.m. on Embarcadero Road and Newell Road, near Rinconada Cultural Park.

According to reports, an eastbound blue 2023 Honda Accord struck a female bicyclist who was waiting for a green arrow to turn left onto northbound Newell Road. Then, the force of the crash threw the bicyclist into the intersection where she was struck by two eastbound vehicles, which drove off after the collision.

Moreover, the Palo Alto Fire Department pronounced the victim, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, the male teen driver of the Honda Accord remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
