1 Person Dead in Burbank Auto Accident on Vanowen Street near Hollywood Way

BURBANK, CA (May 20, 2024) – Saturday night, a fatal two-vehicle crash on Vanowen Street near Hollywood Way killed one person.

The incident happened at around 11:15 p.m. on Vanowen Street, just west of Hollywood Way.

According to the Burbank Police Department, a white Toyota Corolla and a white Scion that were both traveling at a high rate of speed, collided and struck an electrical pole and a fire hydrant.

Moreover, officers confirmed that an occupant of the Scion died after being ejected from the vehicle. Then, paramedics treated an occupant of the Corolla with moderate injuries, at the scene.

Furthermore, the driver of the Corolla remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
