1 Person Dead in Vallejo Auto Accident on Solano Avenue near Shasta Street

VALLEJO, CA (July 23, 2024) – Friday afternoon, a fatal two-vehicle crash on Solano Avenue near Shasta Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 5:18 p.m. in the 1800 block of Solano Avenue, east of Shasta Street.

According to the Vallejo Police Department, a westbound 2015 Infiniti Q50 struck a southbound 2013 Hyundai Accent that was crossing Solano Avenue to Mayo Avenue.

Moreover, responders rushed the driver of the Hyundai to a hospital where the patient was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, the driver of the Infinity remained at the scene after the crash and was not suspected of DUI.

Meanwhile, authorities withheld the identity of the deceased, pending notification to the next of kin.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
