1 Person Dead in Fillmore Auto Accident near Bardsdale Avenue and South Ventura Street

FILLMORE, CA (June 11, 2024) – Saturday night, a fatal two-vehicle crash near Bardsdale Avenue and South Ventura Street killed one person.

The incident happened at around 6:20 p.m. near Bardsdale Avenue and South Ventura Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound 2002 Honda Accord failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with an eastbound Jeep.

Moreover, responders rushed the 86-year-old male driver of the Honda, to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead. Also, officers confirmed that five occupants of the jeep sustained minor injuries in the collision.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
