1 Killed in Albany Train Crash
ALBANY, CA (August 22, 2019) – A fatal train crash involving a Capitol Corridor train and a vehicle occurred in Albany on August 20.
According to reports, the train No. 523 heading from Sacramento to San Jose hit a vehicle on the tracks in Albany.
Amtrak spokeswoman Olivia Irvin revealed that they received reports of the crash at 7:07 a.m.
Out of 240 passengers and crew members in the train, no one suffered any injury.
Due to the crash, the train transportation got delayed for around two hours. Passengers utilized a connecting service to get to their destination.
