MODESTO, CA (November 28, 2024) – Tuesday morning, a fatal pedestrian crash on Yosemite Boulevard and Santa Ana Avenue killed one.

The incident happened at around 6:18 a.m. on Yosemite Boulevard and Santa Ana Avenue.

According to the Modesto Police, an eastbound truck struck a pedestrian in a wheelchair who was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk.

Moreover, responders rushed the male victim to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, the driver of the truck remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.

Meanwhile, the crash closed Highway 132 between Las Palmas Avenue and Santa Cruz Avenue but has long since reopened.
