LAKE COUNTY, CA (May 29, 2024) – On Monday, a fatal pedestrian crash on State Route 53 killed one person.
The incident happened on northbound State Route 53.
According to the California Highway Patrol Clear Lake Office, a vehicle struck a female pedestrian, and then fled the scene without stopping to provide aid.
Moreover, responders pronounced the 23-year-old victim, dead at the scene.
Furthermore, authorities believe that alcohol played a role in the incident.
