CHP Investigates Deadly Auto-Pedestrian Collision on Interstate 5
San Diego, CA (October 15, 2023) On Saturday evening, a deadly pedestrian crash on Interstate 5 left a person dead.
According to California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened around 8:30 p.m. on the northbound Interstate 5 near Old Town.
Officials say that a vehicle struck a pedestrian walking on the freeway in the No. 1 lane in between the Old Town Avenue exit and the Moore Street on-ramp.
Reports say that the pedestrian died at the scene. The person’s identity is not disclosed at this time.
CHP is investigating the deadly auto-pedestrian collision and has not released further details at this time.
