1 Person Dead in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 15 near Aero Drive

SAN DIEGO, CA (March 7, 2024) – Wednesday afternoon, a fatal pedestrian crash on Interstate 15 near Aero Drive killed one person.

The incident happened at around 1:45 p.m. on northbound Interstate 15, between Friars Road and Aero Drive.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was seen walking on the freeway for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, officers confirmed that the pedestrian died in the crash.

Furthermore, the crash closed all lanes of the interstate but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
