ARMONA, CA (September 12, 2024) – Tuesday night, a fatal pedestrian crash on Highway 198 near 14th Avenue killed one person.

The incident happened at around 8:15 p.m. on Highway 198, east of 14th Avenue.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Kia Sorento struck a male pedestrian who was crossing the highway.

Moreover, responders rushed the pedestrian to Adventist Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the driver of the Kia remained at the scene and was not suspected of impairment.
